Alhaji Mohammed Sani Idris, the kidnapped Niger state Commissioner for Information, has been released.

He was released on Thursday night, according to THISDAY.

He was “hale and hearty,” according to a reputable source at the Ministry of Information.

The source did not say how the commissioner was freed or whether a ransom was paid.
