Seyi Makinde To ‘Waste’ N1.2 Billion On Building Governor’s Lodge

The Governer of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde has approved the sum of N1.2bn for the reconstruction of a new lodge in Abuja for incumbent and successive governors in the state.

The State commissioner of Public Works and Infrastructure, Daud Sangodoyin, disclosed that the governor alongside the state executive council approved N1.2bn for the reconstruction of a new Governor’s Lodge at 2, John Kadiya Close, Asokoro, Abuja.

Sangodoyin stressed further saying that the new lodge would provide apartments for the governor, deputy governer, fittings, chalets, and furniture. “which would be of modern type.”

He added that the lodge would be completed in six months.

NAN had reports that the commissioner said that the old lodge was no longer fit for the governor’s use.
