Bandits Kidnap Another Farmer In Ekiti

Published

on

At Iyemero Ekiti, in the Ikole Local Government Area of Ekiti State, armed men suspected of being bandits kidnapped a farmer, Alhaji Jimoh Olodan.

Mr. Isaac Agbanigo, another farmer, was kidnapped at a farmstead in Ikere Ekiti, Ikere Council area of the state, just three months before.

According to an eyewitness, Chief Ajayi Ogungbemi, the incident occurred around 11.15 p.m. on Friday at Elegure farm settlement.

They functioned in such a way that it was clear they had a target in Alhaji Olodan. When the kidnappers arrived in the village, they went straight to the farmer’s house and forced him to leave.

This is not the first time Iyemero would be attacked by these evil men and we are suspecting that they are working in connivance with the Fulani herders operating in our farms.

“The herders have been the ones terrorising Elegure and Atu farmsteads in recent times, destroying farmlands and kidnapping our people”, he alleged .
