Bandits Are Fulani People, We Know Them — Buhari’s Home State Gov, Masari

The identity of bandits wreaking havoc in Nigeria, notably in the north, have been exposed by Governor Aminu Bello Masari of Katsina State.

According to the governor of President Muhammadu Buhari’s home state, Fulani herders are mostly responsible for the country’s unprecedented security problem.

Governor Masari made the assertion while appearing on Channels Television’s “Politics Today” show on Monday.

He disclosed that the elements share his religion and speak the same language as him, emphasizing that they had lived “alongside us for hundreds of years.”

He said, “Bandits are persons who speak same language like me. They profess the same religious beliefs like me.

“These bandits are not aliens, they are people we know. They are people that have been living with us for hundred of years.

“The infiltration we have from some African countries and non-African countries, are people of the Fulani extraction.

“Majority of those involved in this banditry are Fulanis. Wether it is believable or not, that is the truth. These are people who live in the forest and their major occupation is rearing of cattle.”

According to NEWS DIRECT, Katsina, like other northern states, has experienced a high level of insecurity brought on by the operations of bandits who have repeatedly slain citizens and abducted others for ransom.
