JUST IN: Kogi Gov Creates New Ministry, Makes Fresh Appointments

Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo of Kogi State has announced the establishment of a new ministry, signaling a significant stride in the state’s governance framework.

In a statement issued by Mrs. Folashade Ayoade, Secretary to the Kogi State Government, the new ministry is named the Ministry of Innovation Science & Technology.

Ayoade’s statement quoted Governor Ododo as saying, “In furtherance to the establishment of the Ministry, His Excellency, Executive Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, has approved the appointment of Dr. Adeniyi Helen Aderibigbe as the Commissioner designate of the newly created Ministry.”

Furthermore, the statement announced the appointment of Mr. Atuluku Levi Victor as the Commissioner designate of the Ministry of Transportation.

Moreover, there were adjustments in existing ministries, with the Ministry of Education, Science & Technology now to be referred to simply as the Ministry of Education.

Additionally, Governor Ododo approved the appointments of various heads of agencies, emphasizing the importance of their roles in driving development in the state.

In his remarks, Governor Ododo congratulated all appointees and urged them to swiftly embark on impactful initiatives to advance the state’s progress.
