THE Gan Allah Fulani Development Association of Nigeria has called on the federal government to prosecute Sunday Igboho and others who were involved in the unleashing of violence and destruction of property belonging to Sarikin Fulani, Alhaji Salihu AbdulKadir, at Igangan in Oyo State’s Ibarapa North Local Government Area.

GADFAN, based in Abuja, has also requested that the governments compensate the Sarkin Fulani for all losses he and his people have suffered as a result of the alleged assault on their settlement by renowned Yoruba activist Sunday Igboho.

After paying a solidarity visit to Alhaji Salihu in Ilorin on Sunday, the association issued a statement containing these demands.
Alhaji Sulaiman Yakubu and Ibrahim Abdullahi, GADFAN’s National Chairman and National Secretary, respectively, signed the statement.

“To our great surprise and dismay, Sunday Igboho has been moving about openly as if nothing has happened up until now,” the statement read.

“As a result, the GADFAN calls on the federal and state governments to ensure that Alhaji Salihu AbdulKadir and his people receive justice, not only by apprehending and prosecuting Igboho and his boys, but also by compensating and reuniting Sarkin Fulani and his people with their homes.

“All of his (Sarkin Fulani Igangan) homes, household things, and livestock, including cows, sheep, goats, turkeys, a school, shops, and a mosque, were burned and completely destroyed in the attack; all of his (Sarkin Fulani Igangan) property was worth over N500 million.”

“We are already in consultation with our lawyers, and if nothing is done by the relevant authorities to address the matter, we will soon take all necessary legal measures,” she said, adding, “We are already in consultation with our lawyers, and we will soon take all necessary legal steps if nothing is done by the relevant authorities to address the issue.”

The statement read, “To our greatest surprise and dismay, up till this moment, Sunday Igboho is moving freely as if nothing has happened.
