“Amaechi Leave That Place, You’re Disturbing The Process” – APC Members Booes Ex-Minister For Alleged Rigging At Party’s Presidential Primaries

Some Rivers State delegates have accused the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary at Eagle Square Abuja of being rigged.

The delegates who invaded the voting arena claimed that electoral officials were assisting delegates who were unable to write, despite the electoral committee’s earlier announcement that only one electoral official from each state would be permitted.

They further claimed that the delegates list had been tampered with by allowing non-delegates to vote. Some delegates were not on the ground, but their accreditation tags were provided to others, according to the disgruntled delegates.

The crisis threatened to derail the election, with security personnel and election officials scrambling to keep the situation under control.

Rotimi Amaechi, a presidential aspirant and former Minister of Transportation, stepped out in rage from the’state box’ where he was seated to the polling area to express the same warning.

The security officers had been able to calm the frazzled nerves of the unhappy delegates as of the time of writing this piece.
