Bola Tinubu, the candidate for the All Progressives Congress (APC), will win the upcoming general election, according to senator Orji Uzor Kalu, a senior member of the party. Atiku Abubakar, the PDP’s presidential candidate, would come in a distant second.
This was said by Kalu, who serves as the Senate’s Chief Whip while answering questions on Tuesday’s episode of Channels Television’s Political Paradigm.
“Let me give you what I think will come: Tinubu will come distant first and Atiku will come distant second and others will follow,” he said.
Senator Kalu also said the South-East zone does not have the numerical strength to win a presidential election without forming a strong alliance with other regions, especially the North.
“I can only run if all 18 political parties zone their presidential candidates to South-East because we don’t have the numbers to follow it up,” he said.
The purported endorsement of Obi as his choice for the upcoming presidential election was also denied, and he noted that Obi comes from a zone that lacks the necessary backing from the other zones due to secessionist activity.
