JUST IN: Tension In Kano As Commandant General Sends Top Commandant Packing, Declares Another Wanted

The Kano State Hisbah Board has taken decisive action against its personnel involved in compromising and sabotaging the fight against immorality and social vices in the state.

Sheikh Aminu Daurawa, the Commandant General of Hisbah, confirmed the dismissal of one of its commandants and stated that five other officers were under investigation for their involvement in unholy acts.

According to Daurawa, the dismissed personnel had connived with bad elements to perpetrate immoral activities in the state. He further revealed that a Deputy Superintendent of Hisbah had also been dismissed and declared wanted. The officer had collaborated with hotel operators to prevent Hisbah raids on their facilities during operations.

Addressing a social media allegation that Hisbah personnel had cut the hair of a non-indigene with a bottle after raiding a brothel, Daurawa dismissed it as the work of mischief-makers. He assured that the culprit responsible for spreading false information would be identified and invited to prove the claim, emphasizing Hisbah’s commitment to maintaining law and order in the state.
