2023: Lagos PDP Denies Funke Akindele, Says Guber Candidate Yet To Pick Runing Mate

Olajide Adediran, also known as Jandor, is the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) nominee for governor of Lagos State. He has denied rumors that he has chosen Nigerian actress Funke Akindele as his running mate.

Following the rumors that he had chosen the actress to serve as his deputy before the 2023 governorship race, Jandor clarified the situation on Wednesday night.

According to rumors, Akindele was the PDP’s deputy governorship candidate in Lagos State.

Akindele was named together with four other people, according to Gbenga Ogunleye, the governorship candidate’s media adviser, who named them as Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, Kolawole Vaughan, Adenike Shobajo, and [Rasheed] Teslim-Balogun.

He said, “she was nominated alongside four other people, whose names are Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, Kolawole Vaughan, Adenike Shobajo and [Rasheed] Teslim-Balogun. Jandor has not named anyone as his running mate yet.”
