2023: Group attacks APC for telling Yahaya Bello to drop ambition
The North-Central Coalition for Leadership has attacked a group, North-Central Council of the All Progressives Congress, for telling the Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello, to drop his presidential ambition.
NCCL said the APC group’s claims on zoning formula were fictitious and non-existing.
The NCCL, in a statement by its National Coordinator, Mr Charles Williams, said the publication credited to the APC group in the media was totally irrelevant.
The group told the APC group to point out the part of the party constitution stipulating that a particular zone not entitled to the presidency at any point in time.
“We have been assisting other zones to produce the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and we say enough is enough; it’s time (for us) to produce the president,” he said.
