Tinubu’s Policies Badly Affecting APC, Causing Pains To Nigerians – Top APC Leader Cries Out

Former National Vice Chairman North-west of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Salihu Lukman, expressed concern that the ruling party’s policies under President Bola Tinubu’s leadership are causing distress among Nigerians, leading to a decline in the party’s popularity.

In a statement issued on Friday, Lukman warned of potential rebellion if immediate action is not taken to address the situation. He emphasized the need for leaders to return to a visionary approach and implement substantial political reforms to realign the APC with its original progressive vision.

Lukman stated, “Given this reality, it is painful to admit that both the APC as a party and the government of President Asiwaju Tinubu are becoming increasingly unpopular with Nigerians.”

He continued, “No one should be deceived that given the way we are becoming more and more unpopular; we are faced with the risk of rebellion by ordinary Nigerians.”

Lukman highlighted the weakened state of political opposition and civil society organizations, underscoring the potential threat to democracy if urgent measures are not taken to address the discontent among the populace.

“To avert such danger, it is important that our leaders return to their old mode of acting as visionary politicians and initiate deeply more substantive political reforms in the country to reposition the APC and return it to its founding vision of becoming a progressive political,” he urged.
