2023: Atiku Gives Conditions To PDP Members Eyeing Appointments, Contracts

Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) presidential nominee, has set requirements for party members interested in contracts or positions if he wins the upcoming election.

According to News Direct, Atiku stated at a stakeholders meeting on Wednesday in the capital of Ogun State, Abeokuta, that everyone interested in holding a job in his administration must win their voting districts in the 2023 elections.

The former vice president claims that he is only interested in the outcome that a party member may produce during the election.

He stressed that following the party’s candidate does not guarantee an appointment or a contract whether at the local government level, state, or federal level.

Atiku further urged all members of the PDP and supporters to go back to their constituencies and work for the party to win the election.

He said: “The only way, as far as I’m concerned, if I’m President, if you come and say you want a job or you want a contract, I will ask you, let me have the result of your polling booth and that is what I’m going to direct to everybody because unless we do that, we will not win the elections.

“You are all members of the PDP and supporters of the PDP, you want PDP to return to power, please, I beg of you, make sure you win your polling booths”

While addressing a crowd of PDP supporters at the mega rally, Atiku Abubakar said the All Progressives Congress (APC) government has failed Nigerians.

He urged supporters to vote out APC to make sure they do not return to power.

He said: “The APC government has failed us and therefore it is our responsibility to make sure that they do not return to power”.

The National Chairman of the party, Iyorchia Ayu, also presented the flag of the party to Ladi Adebutu as the governorship candidate of the party.

Adebutu, in his words, promised to ensure local government autonomy when elected, saying he would not disappoint the masses.
