19 Lawyers Appeared In Court In Defence Of Baba Ijesha

Two Senior Advocates of Nigeria and 17 other lawyers appeared in his defense for embattled Nollywood veteran actor Olanrewaju Omiyinka, a.k.a Baba Ijesha, who was recently granted bail in court for abusing a minor.

In defense of the Nollywood celebrity, Dada Awosika, SAN, and Babatunde Ogala, SAN, confirmed their appearance, along with the other 17 lawyers, before Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo.

Olayinka Adeyemi, the Lagos State Director of Public Prosecutions, and four other prosecutors represented Lagos State.

Baba Ijesha was said to have arrived to the court dressed as a Black Maria with a white hooded jacket and a mask.

The foster mother of the abused youngster, Adekola Adekanya, called Princess, was also present in the courtroom.

Yomi Fabiyi, who has been campaigning for his colleague’s release, as well as other concerned parties, were present in court.

He had previously been given bail, but he was unable to comply with the terms.
